Stress the top cause of female hair loss

Women in India and the world are for many years being exposed to the stresses of the work place and the highly competetive life of city living. As more and more famillies are moving into the fast paced life of the metro cities: stress is a by product.

48% of women have claimed that they are being treated for some form of and suffered from hair loss or hair thinning, the biggest and the top female cause of hair loss has been announced lateley in a new study.

1. More than 50% of all female hair loss was due to stress

2. The next reason being age which was 23%

3. After giving birth at 20%

4. Extreme diets 16%

5. Tight hair bands and too much hair colouring and chemicals in the hair equals 12 %

As the modern womean emerges as a confident and well dressed and groomed lady, who is in controll and takes important decisions in life and thelives of others, a lot of these women do realise that the stress is effecting their health and also their hair and contributes to their hair loss .They believe that stress is to be accepted and managed.

The challenge is once that hair loss becomes apparent, when one sees hair falling in the haouse and bathroom, with more hair lost in the combs, or some ones eyes fleetingly glancing over the top of your head.

This itself can cause further stress and thereby causes more hair loss and the cycle continues.

Expert trichologist can clearly identify the underlying issues behind an individuals personal reason for the hair fall. Stress is not always avoidable but, through yoga and meditation it can be managed and calmed. Traumatic situations can be a day to day event and can have an adverse effect on our hair, this is followed by weakness and being tired which makes us irritable amd hits the immune systems. Nutrional food and health eating habits is also very important for healthy hair and nails. If these issues are not dealt with effectively the hair becomes dull and weak, and even thinner and frail, which adds to the hair loss in many dramatic ways.

Stem cell research and hair loss

Newer and latest studies on stem cell research have shown great success in lab grown organs and body parts. The latest being the re creation of the food pipe , which was grown from the cells of the patient, this was then successfully implanted into the patient and has been a mile stone in this kind of research.

In the hair loss arena this is also a potential for the regrowth of hair follicles and by such harvesting of hair grown from the cells of the recipient. Then the plasma or the grown hair can be implanted into the scalp of the patient.

This technology can also be applied to the greying of hair and dictating the colour pigmentation of hair and keep the hair the original colour for longer or even always.

We are aware for many years that hair follicle stem cells and pigment-producing melanocycte cells collaborate to produce colored hair.

The human body has many types of stem cells that have the potential to regenerate other organs, many communication signals between cells can be modified in molecules to enhance hair growth. Nanogen research and Hair Growth Factors

Pangaea Laborotories is continually involved in the research and development of scientifically proven treatments to benefit those suffering from hair loss. To understand the best way to tackle the issue of problems with hair, and the thinning of hair a very indepth study of the natural hair cycle was undertaken. Our scientists have identified that for best results the hair loss products need to stimulate the anagen phase.

Serum VEGF complex is designed with this concept in mind, it is unique and also plant derived, boosted with other products. The growth of healthy hair is is controlled by a natural cycle, however the cycle is different for each hair, and each hair is at different stages of this cycle. The Serum VEGF complex specially supports and also protects the hair and maintains healthy hair growth at every stage.

In which way does Serum VEGF help the hair growth?

The challenge for regrowth is the stimulation of the anagen phase, to understand this we must first understand the three stages, cell proliferation, cell migration and angiogenesis.

By Cell Proliferation

at the base of every hair follicle there is type of stem cell by the name of dermal papilla;it required for these cells to quickly multiply to create the cells that create hair. To grow healthily the cells require oxygen and good nutrition, the VEGF increases vasolidation and more blood flow , this inturn develops growth.

By Cell Migration

Once these cells multiply, they should shift into ceratin positions which form the structure of the hair. To dod this they are required to communicate amonst them selves, VEGF This means they need they communicate with eachother, and organise their “cellular skeleton” to enable them to move.

VEGF increases glycoprotein in certain cells, these glycoproteins allow cells to communicate, move and adhere to each other.

By Angiogenesis

Growing hair needs nutrients & oxygen, so new small blood vessels form to feed the growing hair, this is called Angiogenesis.

DHT is a hormone that send a signal to chnage the hair cycle phase into catagen, VEGF acts to temporarily suppress these genes, and helps protect the hair from falling prematurely.

After the hair has fallen out naturally, the hair enters a phase called Telogen. VEGF reduces the time that hair spends in this resting phase by stimulating genes for re-entry into the hair growth phase, Anagen.
